Early Parkinson’s Detection with PD-Watch Screen
PD-Watch Screen is a medical device designed to support the early detection of Parkinsonian motor syndromes and Parkinson’s disease. Using advanced sensors and intelligent algorithms, it continuously monitors patient movements, capturing even subtle early motor signs that may indicate the onset of the disease. The PD-Watch Screen software application can be used with either a professional wearable or a commercial smartwatch, allowing patients to carry on with their daily activities without interruption. It can be prescribed by healthcare professionals or used independently as a screening tool. Collected data is securely analyzed through a cloud platform, producing detailed reports that help identify early Parkinson’s symptoms and enable prompt intervention. This innovative solution supports improved diagnosis, faster care pathways, and ultimately enhances patients’ quality of life.
How It Works
PD-Watch Screen operates by continuously collecting movement data through either a professional wearable device or a compatible smartwatch, worn comfortably by the user over the course of one week. Depending on the device, the user may also be prompted to perform short, guided motor tasks, or benefit from sleep analysis. These combined data inputs enable the detection of digital biomarkers—subtle physiological signals that serve as early indicators of Parkinson’s risk. All the information is securely transmitted and processed on a cloud platform, where advanced algorithms analyze the data to provide a comprehensive risk assessment. At the end of the monitoring period, a detailed report is generated, offering clear insights into the presence of early motor signs and supporting timely clinical decisions. This solution is validated through rigorous clinical studies and protected by patents, ensuring reliability and innovation in early Parkinson’s screening.
